Subhumans of Moldburg

The demihumans of Moldburg don't hold high status in the city. Radiation from the Broken Star which crashed here eons ago has set a tone of increasing degradation from human norms. A fair minority in the city bare some kind of mutation, but a strange zeal for humanity comes out when confronted by creatures who may once have been human, often translating to prejudice towards any that are inhuman. Whether the subhumans of Moldburg were once humans or not, that is the perception of most common folk in the city, thus the term: subhuman.

1d4 Subhumans of Moldburg

1) Nibblers:

Carnivorous small folk with wide faces. They have sharp durable teeth and claws. They can eat just about anything and easily climb surfaces. In the city, they are regularly chimney sweeps, cooks, butchers, and thieves or they go below the city to live in warrens where they feed off anything or anyone that come below.

Nibbler player characters can climb sheer surfaces easily and eat through most substances given enough time. They can't wear armor. Medium weapons act as Two-Handed for them and they can't use regular Two-Handed weapons.

2) Moth Elves:

Pale and emaciated with paper-thin skin, large red eyes, and wings that hang about them limply like a cloak. The great days of your kind are long past, now sickly and dying, your race begs on streetcorners and sleeps in gutters. A few have been able to make it into the upper echelons as servants or escorts.

Moth Elves may roll two Elf Tricks. They may not wear armor or wield two-handed weapons. They can glide if unencumbered.

3) Leechfolk:

Pale to greenish skinned vampires with emaciated bodies, long arms and claws. Their maws are less like bats and more like lampreys. They are always sticky to the touch, often living in sewers and surviving off the blood of fish and other subterranean creatures. Their fingers and toes are slightly webbed for quick slimming through the water, and they have gills to breathe. They are not looked kindly on by most folk of the city. Even the other subhumans treat them with contempt.

Leechfolk may swim at a fast pace and breath underwater. They also have much better hearing than other races to hunt their prey even in the dark.

4) Black Dwarves:

Midnight-skinned squat folk with eyes like smoldering coals, hailing from the deep places of the earth. They are built like cinderblocks with stony skin. They act as smithies and guards within the city.

Black Dwarves may Negate one attack against them per day. They also take half damage from fire.
