Into the Weird Blue Yonder: A Monster: The Hungry Avatar of the Smiling God

Here is a monster from the upcoming Into the Weird Blue Yonder. Another post regarding O'er Windswept Golden Fields is in the works. This is heavily inspired by Nightvale but in the course of my Weird marches game, the Cult of the Smiling God has become its own animal and I thought it worth including in the Bestiary.

Credit seems to be due to St. Luci. Found here.
The Hungry Avatar of the Smiling God: +6 Bite of his Perfect Teeth (3d6+1), +3 Meaty Hand (1d8+1) or (Grab/Consume 4d6), HP: 35, AC: 13, HD: 12, Saves: +0 Dex. Move: 40ft
Multiattack: The Avatar can make 1 Bite or two Meaty Hand attacks/ The Avatar can only Bite creatures standing in front of him and cannot bite on the sam round where he has moved.
Meaty Regeneration: The Avatar heals 2d6 HP each round.
Aura of Annihilating Light: Each creature that can see the Avatar must make a DC: 13 Con Save each round or gain Disadvantage on all sight related checks and attacks for that round. Creatures sensitive to light are utterly blinded.
Reflective Smile: Spells cast on the Avatar have a 50% chance of reflecting at whatever creature is standing most directly in front of the Avatar.
Across the grasslands, in the beautiful city of Hillhaven there is the Temple of Joy, dedicated to a great Smiling God. All the people of Hillhaven love their god and show him their devotion with their wonderful smiles! They have no choice.
The great reflective dome of the temple calls to their God. The joy of the people is there to give him a home. Each devotee of the Smiling God that the players spend much time with has a 1% chance of bursting open, their flesh growing and meat morphing into a snaking body with hundreds of grasping hands, headed by a too-wide smile with far too many perfect teeth. This Avatar of the Smiling God shines its endless light upon the faithful and the heathen alike as it devours faithful and heathen alike, until the poor host body’s meat can no longer sustain the divine energies, causing the Avatar to fall apart into a pile of steaming innards.
One day the Avatar shall manifest in a host that can fully channel the power of the glorious Smiling God and it shall be an Avatar no more, but an incarnation! Then we all shall be devoured and purified in his holy gullet!

At 3 Insight, characters in the presence of the Avatar see a gigantic planet wreathed in the sun’s corona. It is a planet of meat, constantly devouring and recreating itself, swarmed by endless layers of smiling worms. They can feel the planet approaching, never satisfied in its eternal hunger.
